Panama Authorises Up to B/.100 Million for Earthquake Emergency Contracts

On 28 October, Panama’s Cabinet approved amendments to the emergency trust established after the 9 October earthquakes, retaining authorisation for up to B/.100 million in special procurement for response and reconstruction. The amount is an authorised ceiling for eligible contracts, not proof that the full sum has been spent; government agencies and policy advisers can explore transparent procurement dashboards, reconstruction tracking and recovery-impact analytics, while HPC can support secure data infrastructure and reporting. Contact HPC for a quotation based on the confirmed project scope.
