Eastern Equatoria Opens Consultations on Draft Anti-Violence Bill
On 6 November, Eastern Equatoria officials opened consultations in Torit on a proposed anti-violence bill intended to prevent gender-based violence and strengthen protection for survivors. The proposal remains under consultation, and no enacted law, implementation timetable or legislative budget was announced. The process creates demand for legal research, stakeholder engagement and compliance planning; HPC can support regulatory monitoring, policy analysis and institutional assessments.
